I have the honour to apply for an

appointment to the West African Medical Staff,

I have had a large experience of

Tropical Diseases both in the Colonial Service

and with the Chinese Government and I attach

a list of appointments held by me.

I have received no pension or gratuity

allowances of any kind and I would request that

in dealing with my application my past services

be taken into consideration.

Last year I resigned my appointments

and handed over to my partner, in order to take

long leave and settle my family in England.
